Mrs. Juanita Davis White

McCormick, SC: Mrs. Juanita Davis White, 81, of 14 Molean Lane, the widow of James Calvin White, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020 in Self Regional Medical Center.

Born in McCormick County, SC, on September 22, 1938, daughter of the late Cleveland and Louise Brown Davis. She received her education in the public schools of McCormick County, South Carolina.

At an early age, she joined the Tranquil AME Church and after her marriage to the late James Calvin White she moved her membership to Liberty Spring Baptist Church where she was a faithful member of the church, the choir, the Shape Note Choir, Women of Purpose, and Tuesday Morning Bible Study. She was a retired employee of Chamber's Plant - Greenwood Mills.

In addition to her parents and husband; she was preceded in death by, siblings, Joe Caesar Morgan, Bessie Lee Jessup, Coree Harling, and  Cleola D. Smith.

Those who will miss her the most; daughter, Shirley White of McCormick, SC; sons, James M. Davis of Greenwood, SC and Calvin (Mary Ann) White of Edgefield, SC; eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; sisters, Carrie Raiford and Earthy (James) Moore both of Greenwood, SC and Rosa Lee Davis of Simpsonville, SC; in-laws, Geneva Jones, Minnie (Roy) Thompkins, Otis (Emma) White, Arthur (Angela) White and Booker T. (Thelma) White; one aunt, Margaret Parker; caregiver, Chicquetta Anderson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.

A Graveside Service will be 12 Noon Wednesday, April 21, 2020 at Liberty Spring Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Pastor Henry Merriweather and other. 

Viewing will be 1-7 p.m. Tuesday 4/21/20 at the funeral home.

The family is at the home of her daughter, Shirley White, 1254 US Highway 378 E, McCormick, SC.
