Mr. Julian Anderson, Sr.
McCormick, SC: Mr. Julian (Jule) Anderson, Sr., a native of Edgfefield County was born June 8, 1924, to the late Milledge and Ammie Loveless Anderson.
On Friday morning, August 21, 2020, Julian transitioned from this life into eternal live at the home of Mary Norris , Edgefield, SC, after declining health.
He was educated in the public schools of Edgefield County, South Carolina.
At an early age, he joined the Pleasant Lane Baptist Church where he maintained his membership until his passing. He was a member of the Pleasant Lane Burial Aide society, Sandrock Community Club and a Mason.
Julian was self-employed. He worked in the Pulpwood business for many years until he retired.
He was married to Frances Kimble Anderson. To this union, seven children were born, one daughter (Mae Emma) preceded him in death. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by siblings, Rhodia L. Gilbo, Milledge Anderson, III, Mattie Odessa Anderson, Essie Dell Key, Willie Rufus Anderson, James Eddie Anderson, Mary Emma Anderson Scurry and Hattie Ophelia Anderson Scurry.
He was called Jule by the family and will be dearly missed by the family, friends and all who knew him.
He leaves to cherish and honor his memory; his wife, Frances Kimble Anderson of the home; daughters, Lula Collen Anderson of the home, Mary Norris , Alberta (Josh) Clark, Pearlie (Nelson) Jones all of Edgefield, SC; sons, Julian (Shirley) Anderson, Jr. of McCormick, SC and Calvin Anderson (Rhonda) of Piedmont, SC; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, seven great-great grands; four sisters-in-law and two brother-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
A Graveside Service to honor his life will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Pleasant Lane Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the pastor, Reverend Melvin Searles.
Viewing will be 1-6 pm. Monday 8/24/20 at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of his daughter, Mary A. Norris, 530 Rosa Hill Street, Edgefield, SC.
