Saluda, SC: Ms. Kimberly Renee Herbert, beloved daughter of Malon Julian and Minnie Pearl Herbert was born on April 7, 1972, in Newberry, South Carolina. She departed this life on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Lila Doyle Post Acute Care in Seneca, South Carolina.
At an early age she joined the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Saluda, South Carolina, where she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior.
Kimberly was a 1990 graduate of Saluda High School in Saluda, South Carolina.
While in school she played on the basketball team and participated in other multicultural activities. After graduation, she continued her education at Bethune Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida, to become a flight attendant. She was also studied to become a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Kimberly had an unforgettable presence that will leave her footprints on all of our hearts. Her love, laughter, kindness, and pure joy will linger with us forever.
Kimberly was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents Mr. & Mrs, Curtis ‘Bessie’ Gantt, and Mr. & Mrs. Malon ‘Grace’ Herbert. One special aunt– Bertenia Curtis Robinson, and four beloved uncles: Reverend Johnny C. Gantt, Benjamin F. Herbert, Freddie L. Gantt, and John B. Robinson.
She leaves to cherish her memories her loving parents. Malon and Minnie P. Herbert of Saluda, SC; daughter; Killdajah Mac’K-La Robinson-Herbert (Greenwood, SC), two sons: Kiljuan Herbert (Saluda, SC); and Killijah Herbert (California); six grandchildren: Kenzo and Kiyan Herbert (Saluda, SC), Azavia and Aurora Jones, Amani West, and Ariyah Robinson (Greenwood, SC); one brother, Craig Julian Herbert (Saluda, SC), one sister, Cathy Taylor (Texas), one uncle Alvin ‘Lillian’ Herbert (Columbia, SC), four aunts: Fairy Coleman (Johnston, SC) Loretha ‘Clarence’ Brown, Freda Gantt, and Betty Daniels (Saluda, SC); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many sorrowing friends.
