Mrs. Lena Richardson Bosket
Saluda, SC: Mrs. Lena Matilda Richardson Bosket, of 113 Maple Street, the widow of James Lasket Bosket, Jr., passed away on Monday night, April 20, 2020, in Self Regional Medical Center.
She was born on July 22, 1945 in Saluda, SC, daughter of the late Will and Mattie Thomas Richardson.
She received her education in the public schools of Saluda County, South Carolina graduating from Riverside High School in 1964.
At an early age, she joined the Lockhart Baptist Church where she was a faithful member. After her marriage to James Lasket Bosket, Jr. she moved her membership to Bethlehem Baptist Church where she served faithful as a Deaconess and Missionary. She was also a member of Woman's Home Aide Society #120 and the Food Club. Lena was a retired textile worker.
In addition to her parents and husband; she was also preceded in death by her siblings,Fred Richardson, Bill Richardson, Mattie (Betty) Watson, Mamie Abney and Anna Adams.
Leaving to honor and cherish her loving memory; sons James Sterling (Cassandra) Bosket of Monetta, SC and Marcus Bosket of Saluda, SC; daughters, Letarsha Bosket of Saluda, SC, Hope (Fred) Walker of Johnston, SC and Tiffany Bosket of Mauldin, SC; step-son, James (Gloria) Parkman, Greenwood, SC; 9 grandchildren, one great grandchild; sister, Frances (Jerry) Williams of Saluda, SC; in-laws, Ida (James) Coates, Cleveland (Ruth) Bosket, Gelena Bosket, Shirleen Bosket, Judy Bosket,and Aubury Bosket; two aunts, Gladys Glover and Eliza Lott; a niece, Charity Holmes who was reared in the home; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
A Graveside Service Celebrating her Life will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the pastor Reverend Calvin Robinson with others assisting.
Public viewing will be 2-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
To be on the safe side we are asking that everyone make sure they are practicing social distancing and wearing masks and gloves with limited visiting. The family is aware that their mother was loved by many but we still need to practice social distancing. We are asking our family and friends for prayer not just for us but the Nation as a whole. There are guidelines that CDC is asking us to follow and COVID 19 are not to be taken for granted. Thanking you for follow the CDC guidelines. We love all of you and want all to stay safe.
