Leroy Lewis, Jr.
Saluda, SC: Leroy Lewis, Jr., 61, of 506 East Butler Avenue, the husband of Denise Malachi Lewis transitioned from this life into eternal rest on Sunday morning, January 17, 2021 at his home.
He was born in Saluda, SC, August 10, 1959, son of the late Leroy Sr and Janie Dozier Lewis Etheredge. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and a member Pearl Chapel Masonic Lodge. He was a veteran of the US Army. He was a die heart Dallas Cowboys fan and he also loved fishing.
He received his education in the public schools of Saluda County, South Carolina where he was a high school graduate. His last employment was with Best Dressed Chickens.
He will be truly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him. His memory will forever be in our hearts.
Left to cherish and honor his memory; his wife, Denise Malachi Lewis of the home; three sons, Jermaine (Vernita) Walker of Augusta, GA; Brannon Malachi and Jerrel (Ebony) Lewis both of Laurens, SC; two daughters, Denise Malachi and Joyce Lewis both of Saluda, SC; six grandchildren; stepsister, Martha Rose Murray of Columbia, SC; in-laws; one aunt, Mary L. Hill; uncle, Thomas Bryant; nieces, nephew; and a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, 1/27/2021 at Butler and Sons Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Jackson officiating. Military Honors will also be done.
Viewing will 1-6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
