Mr. Leroy Miles, Sr.

Batesburg, SC:  Mr. Leroy Miles of 150 South Fair Avenue, the husband of Reverend Bonnie Miles gained his wings and have flown away to be at rest with the Lord, on Saturday evening, September 3, 2022 at his residence.

He was born in Edgefield County, SC, February 12, 1965, son of the late Willie and Catherine Butler Miles. He was a 1983 graduate of Strom Thurmond High School.  At an early age, he joined Mt. Cannan Baptist Church and later attended Bible Way Church- Saluda and in the early 90's he became a member of Mt. Enon Baptist Church where he was ordained as a  Deacon and a member of City Light's Men on the Wall.  Leroy loved to fish and he was a hardworker.  He was a dieheart Pittsburgh Steelers' Fan. And he was employed by Walmart Distribution Center.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Garfield and Ora Etheredge Miles and maternal grandparents, Grant Jr. and Corrie Williams-Butler.

He leaves to cherish and honor his memory; wife, Reverend Bonnie A. Miles of the home; sons Mario Bush, Columbia, SC and Leroy Miles, Jr., Batesburg, SC; daughters, Carrie E. Miles, Greenwood, SC and Erica N. Minick, Johnston, SC; grandchildren, Jacecon K. Miles, Jamarion Johnson and Ansley K. Miles;  nephews-son, Ronald Barnes, Trenton, SC; sisters, Ora Bell Herrin (Joe) and Brenda Brown both of Trenton, SC and Mary Ann Williams and Vivian Brown both of Johnston, SC; mother-in-law, Mae H. Robinson, Lexington, SC; sisters-in-law, Julia Robinson, Lexington, SC, Latisha Robinson, Greenwood, SC and Camilla Robinson, Columbia, SC; brothers-in-law, Stacy Robinson, Aiken, SC and Le;sey Robinson, Saluda, SC; uncle, Otis Key, Sr.,  Johnston, SC; aunt, Ethel Butler, Trenton, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.

A Celebration of his Life will be 1 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2022 at Mt. Enon Baptist Church conducted by Reverend Donnie Byrd, presiding and Bishop Redfern II - Eulogist and others assisting.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the at 12 Noon.

Family Viewing will be 1-2 p.m. and public viewing will be 2-6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

The family is at the home.

When visiting or attending the services please wear a mask and pratice social  distancing when possible, we are still in a Pandemic.
