Minnie Bell Nicholson Pride

Johnston, SC: Minnie Bell Nicholson Pride, 80, of 103 Cottonwood Street, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022 in University Hospital (Piedmont) Augusta, Ga.

She was born in Edgefield County, SC, on October 7, 1941, daughter of the late James and Rosa Belle Griffin Nicholson.  

At an early age, she joined Mt. Calvary Baptist Church where she maintained her membership until her passing.  She received her education and graduated from Edgefield County Colored High School. She did further studies at Piedmont Tech and became a CNA.  She was a Housewife and a CNA.

She was the only child and the last survivor of her immediate family.

Minnie Bell will be dearly missed by her family and friends and all who knew and loved her.

She leaves to cherish and honor her precious memory; daughter, Evelyn Pride of Johnston, SC; sons Patrick (Beverly) Pride of Edgefield, SC, James A. Pride (Kym) of Columbia, SC and Paul L. Pride of the home; nine grandchildren, Leon (Tisha), Bryan, Shai'Kierce, Jamekia, Torrance (Tierra), Patrick, Jr., James Jr., Paige and Landen; seventeen great grandchildren; host of cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.

A Graveside Service Celebrating Her Life, Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Reverend Lewis Burt, Presiding and Reverend P. L. Griffin - Eulogist and others assisting.  Viewing at Graveside 10-11 a.m.

Family viewing will be Wednesday 1-2 p.m.  public viewing will be 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Please pray for this family as they go through their hour of bereavement.
