Paul Norman Cannon, Sr.

Batesburg, SC:  Paul Norman Cannon, 58, oof 336 Beltline Avenue, the husband of Sylvia Renee Geter Cannon departed this life Friday, September 9, 2022 in Lexington Medical Center.

He was born in Prosperity, SC, July 18, 1964, son of Elvira Cook Cannon and the late Ollie Ray Cannon. He worked as a Landscaper. He received his education in the public schools of Lexington County, where he attended Batesburg High School.

He is survived; his wife, Sylvia Geter Cannon of the home; his mother Elvira C. Cannon of North Augusta, SC; sons, Deshone Witt of Aiken, SC and Paul Norman Cannon, Jr. of Batesburg, SC; step-daughter, Chantel Jeter of Batesburg, SC; Brothers, James Cook, Middletown, Delaware, Ellis (Adraine) Cannon and Bishop Gregory (Cynthia) Cannon both of Montgomery, Alabama; god-daughter, Jabriel Ware of Blackville, SC; four sisters-in-law, Wanda Jeter, Mel Geter, Rhonda Geter, and Karena Geter; brother-in-law, Markus Geter; three aunts, two uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.

A Celebration of Life will be 2 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2022 at AOH Church of God, Batesburg, SC, conducted by Bishop Gregory Cannon. Burial will follow in St. John CME Church Cemetery.  The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m.

Viewing will be held 1-6 p.m Thursday, September 15, 2022 at the funeral home.
