Pierce "Calvin" Thomas

Saluda, SC : Pierce (Calvin) Thomas, 68, of 101 Myranda Avenue, departed this life on December 22, 2023 at his home.

He was born in Saluda, SC, May 16, 1955, son of the late Pauline Robinson and the late Ulysses Thomas. He received his education in the public schools of Saluda County, South Carolina.  At an early age he joined Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Calvin as he was affectionately called worked the most of his working life in farming and construction.  He later became a Handy-Man for the community.  To those who knew and loved him, he will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Elijah (Butch) Thomas.

He leaves to cherish and honor his memory; daughter, Patricia Alewine of Batesburg, SC; sisters, Patsy Merriweather (William), Barbara Ann Thomas, Mary Elle Thomas and Betty Ann Thomas all of Saluda, SC; uncles, Sam Robinson and Lonnie Ouzts of Saluda, SC, Albert (Gloria )Robinson of Batesburg, SC, Curley (Doris) Brown, Irmo, SC; aunts Annie Watson, Margaret Young and Nona (Thomas) Griffin all of Saluda, SC, Patsy Kay of White Plains, NY, and Trannie Washington, Bronx, NY and Geneva Gaskins, Mt. Lake Terrance, WA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.

The family is at 2683 John J. Rushton Road, Saluda, SC.
