Aiken, SC: Rachel Annette Roper Culbreath, 81, the wdow of Willie James Culbreath entered into peaceful rest, Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Agape Hospice House of Lexington.
she was born in Johnston, SC, December 27, 1943, daughter of the late Raymond Roper, Sr. and the late Ora Mae Walker Roper. Rachel received her education in the public schools of Edgefield, South Carolina. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and after her marriage to the late Willie James Culbreath she became a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by siblings, Raymond Roper, Jr., Walter Roper, and Sammie Roper,
She leaves to cherish and honor her precious memories; sister, Claudia (Lee) Brunson and Joan Stokes both of Augusta, GA and Shirley (James) Walker, Aiken, SC; brothers, Gregory (Carrie) Roper, Aiken, SC, Sleonard (Linda) Roper, Lincolnton, North Carolina, Darvin Roper, Aiken, SC, Stanley (Ida Bell) Roper, Sparta, GA, Dexter (Jackie) Roper, Gary, NC; sisters-in-law, Mattie M. Ross (devoted/caretaker), Aiken, SC, Hellen Jerry, Ridge Spring, SC, Mary (Robert) Sewell, Aurora, CO and Cora Dozier, Winter Garden, FLA; two aunts, Lillian Simpkins, Johnston, SC and Vivian Houser, Videoland, NJ; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
