Greenwood, SC:   Robert Lewis Hendley, 73, of 207 Belle Oaks Drive West,  entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at his home.

He was born in Saluda, SC, March 19, 1950, son of the late Viola Hendley.  He was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church - Saluda.  He received his education in the public schools of Saluda County, SC.

He was affectionately called "McAdoo" by his family and friends. He had a big heart and never met a stranger. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves to honor and cherish his memory; his devoted brother, Isiah Hendley of the home; special cousins, Inger H. Martin, Patrick Hendley. Petula Hendley, other cousins, Antley Weaver, Florence Weaver and Delfunia Glover; Special friends, Thomas and Beverly Connor, Tracy Lester, Raymond and Stacey Durant and Donnell Jones; other relatives and sorrowing friends.

Celebration of Life will be 1 p.m. Thursday, September 7, 2023 at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church conducted Reverend Herbert H. Martin. The body will be placed in the church at 12 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Family viewing will be 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2023 and public viewing 2-6 pm. at the funeral home.
