Robert Lee (Wee-Man) Smith

Saluda, SC: Robert Lee (Wee-Man) Smith departed this life on Saturday, February 7, 2026 in Self Regional HealthCare, Greenwood. SC, after declining health.

He was born in Saluda, SC, May 25, 1939, son of the late Eugene and Orabell Coleman Smith. He was of Baptist Faith. He received his education in the public schools of Saluda County, South Carolina. He worked at the Saluda Meat Locker Plant for over 30 years.

He was affectionately called “Wee-Man” by family and friends. He touched many lives and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his siblings, J. W. Smith, Charlie Frank Smith, Curtis Eugene Smith, Willie B. Smith Barbara Jean Smith, James Kennedy Jones and Stevie Jones.

He leaves to cherish his memories; his wife, Willie Pearl Pugh; sons, Robert Lester Smith and Willie James Smith; daughters, Shirley Lee Smith, Debbie Jean Smith King, Sarah Lacy, Sandra Lorraine Jenkins; Jessie Mae Nicholson and Rosezena Nicholson; a number of grands, great grands and great-great grands; step–children ,Joyce Smith Crowder, Sanella Smith, Sheila BonaVenture, Shawlette Smith, Timothy Lorick and Chiquita Lorick; brothers, James Coleman Smith, Eugene Smith, Willie Nicholson, Jessie Gene Nicholson and Bennie (Sheryl) Jones; Special friend, Mary Ann Lorick; three brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives.

The family is receiving friends at the home of his daughter, Shirley Smith, 304 Willow Loop, Saluda, SC.
