Robert Louis Lomax, Sr.
Newberry, SC: Robert Louis Lomax, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Tuesday night, November 24, 2020 in White Oak Manor Nursing Home in Newberry, South Carolina.
He was born in Newberry County, SC, on January 15, 1940, the only son to the late Reuben Lomax and the late Lessie Perry Lomax Farrow.
He attended Gallman High School.
Robert retired from EXPO Center in Greenville, SC where he was employed for many years.
He was well known in the Nicholtown/Fieldcrest Community. A Man who on a good day would give you his last. He often would tell people that there are two things you don't mess with, that's my children and my money. He never said goodbye to anyone, always "See you Later".
Along with his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Essie Hailstock Lomax, son Stavros Lomax, sister, Rubye Lee Williams, son-in-law, Reverend Dr. Charles H. Davis and two brothers-in-law, Sam C. Williams and Cullen Fowler.
Those who celebrate his life and cherish everlasting memories are his daughters, Sheron L. Redmond, Greenville, SC, Carolyn L. (Terry) Brown, Fountain Inn, SC, Roberta L. Davis, Piedmont, SC and Kathy L. (Frank) Chandler, Taylors, SC; son, Reverend Robert Louis (Sharon) Lomax, Jr. of Greenville, SC; ten grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren; sisters, Mollie Barr, Lonny Fowler and Janis (Ray) Gary all of Newberry, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, including the entire Hailstock family and friends.
The family is at the home of his daughter, Sheron L. Redmond, 309 Ackley Road, Greenville, SC.
