Rose Eva Pugh Dunbar

Aiken, SC:  Rose Eva Pugh Dunbar, 66, departed this life on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at MUSC, Charleston, SC.

She was born in Saluda County, SC, daughter of the late Robert Lee Pugh and the late Eaddie Lue Burton Pugh.  

She was a member of Mt. Alpha for many years then she moved to the family church  Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Ridge Spring Monetta High School. She worked in the sewing rooms for many years.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

She was loved and will be missed by her loved ones.

To cherish her memories are her five children; Benson Lee Dunbar, Jr., Venson Dunbar, Dorian Dunbar, Tekuillia Dunbar and Marrell (Sharon) Dunbar all of Aiken, SC; thirteen grandchildren and two gret grandchildren. She has one sister, Irene Coleman of Aiken, SC; four brothers, Robert (Tisha) Pugh of Thompson, GA, Antonious (Angie) Pugh of Atlanta, GA, Stanley (Valerie) Pugh of Batesburg, SC, Jerry (Tasha) Pugh of Greenville, SC. She has four aunts and four uncles; and a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.

The family is a the home of her son, Venson Dunbar, 538 Kinkade Court, Aiken, SC.

A Graveside Service to honor her life will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, October 25, 2021 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

Viewing will be 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
