Rudy Williams

Saluda, SC: Rudy Williams 71, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 in Saluda Nursing Center.

He was born in Saluda, SC; November 20, 1954, to the late John Henry Williams and the late Dora Mae Robinson Williams. He was born a twin to Ronnie Williams who also preceded him in death. He was married to Elsie Marie Jones Williams who preceded him in death.

Rudy received his education in the public schools of Saluda County, South Carolina.  Early in life, he joined Mine Creek Baptist Church.  Rudy was a self taught mechanic.

In addition to his parents, his wife Elsie Marie Jones Williams and his twin, he was also preceded in death by; siblings, Otis Williams, Henry J. Williams, Michael R. Williams, John H. Williams, Jr., James H. Bletcher, Charlie Bletcher, Marie Holland, Johnnie Mae Long and Ethel Daylie.

He is survived by;  two sons, Michael (Ashley) Rauch of Columbia, SC and Rudy Douglas Padgett of Saluda, SC;  ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren; step-daughter, Belinda Jones of Saluda, SC; brothers, John L (Bert) Williams, Ernest Williams, and Johnny B, (Lillie Mae) Bledsoe all of Saluda, SC, Odell Williams and Cardell Williams both of Maryland; sisters, Dorothy Mae (Horace) Smith of Tallahassee, FLA and Verna Jean (Lewis) Gibson of Saluda, SC; in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.

The family is at the home of his brother, John L. Williams (Bert) 107 Pine Street, Saluda, SC.
