Mrs. Sallie Mae Moore Nicholson

Ridge Spring, SC:  Mrs. Sallie Mae Moore Nicholson of 228 Quattlebaum Avenue, the widow of Isaac Nicholson, passed on Thursday night, October 15, 2020 at Lexington Medical Center.

She was born in Saluda, SC, April 28, 1928, daughter of the late Jasper and Eva Mae Lewis Moore.  She received her education in the public schools of Saluda County, South Carolina.

At an early age, she joined the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Saluda where she was a faithful member. She was an Usher for fifty plus years and a member of the Senior Choir. Her employment history includes, Housekeeping, Bryant's Cafe, Saluda Shirt Plant and her last employment was with Mt. Vernon Mill in Johnston, SC.

She was married to Isaac Nicholson, Jr. who preceded her in death and to this union seven children were born, one son, Albert Nicholson preceded her in death.

Sallie Mae loved fishing and cooking Sunday Dinners to bring her family together to eat and fellowship.  To know her was to love her. She was firm in her decision making and always truthful and she will always be remembered.

In addition to her parents, husband and son; she was also preceded by siblings, Bennie Lee Moore, Willie James Moore, Vernon Lee Moore, Nancy Christie, Chattie Bell Walker and Annie Louise Praylow.

She leave to honor and cherish her precious memories; sons, Jasper J. Nicholson of Ridge Spring, SC, Lester (Deborah) Nicholson of Seneca, SC and George Robinson, Jr. of Aiken, SC; daughters, Annie P. Lott of Saluda, SC, Jeanette Abner of Ridge Spring, SC and Evangeline (Tommie) Williams of Ward, SC; seven grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren; brothers, George H. Moore of Saluda, SC and Grover (Josephine) Moore of Columbia, SC;  sister-in-law, Nora Moore of  Ward, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives 

A Graveside Service will be held to Honor her Life Tuesday, 10/20/20 time 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Reverend Richard Jackson with others assisting.

Family viewing will be 1-2 p.m. and public viewing will be 2-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
