Shirley Barnes Culbreath
Lexington, SC: Shirley Deloris Barnes Culbreath, 67, departed this life on Monday morning, December 21, 2020 in Lexington Medical Center.
She was born in Saluda, SC, August 7, 1953, daughter of the late Louis Milton and Ella Mae Rauch Etheredge Barnes. She was a 1971 graduate of Saluda High School. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and she worked for Amick Farms for many years.
She was married to Jerome Culbreath and the mother of five children.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death sons, Antiono Barnes and Chaconia (Nick) Culbreath, Sr.; siblings, James Etheredge, Robert Etheredge and Lawrence Etheredge.
Left to honor and cherish her memory; her husband, Jerome Culbreath of Batesburg, SC; two sons, Kentrick Barnes (Amelia) of Batesburg, SC and Jabacus Culbreath of Saluda, SC; daughter, Yoshema Culbreath of Batesburg, SC; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren; three brothers, Melvin (Jean) Barnes and Roy (Marilyn) Barnes both of Saluda, SC and Benjamin (Lucille) Barnes of Lanham, MD; sisters, Mamie (Thomas) Pace of Saluda, SC and Betty Ann Etheredge of Goldsboro, NC; god-children, Tysheena Wright Harrison, Edgefield, SC, Anton Coleman, Charlotte, NC and Antonio Coleman of Columbia, SC; four brothers-in-law, three sisters-in-law; uncles and aunts; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends who will miss her dearly.
The family is at the home of her daughter, Yoshema Culbreath, 718 Humphrey St., Batesburg, SC.
