Mrs. Sue Anna Shealy
Saluda, SC: Mrs. Sue Anna Coleman Clark Shealy, 99, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018 in the Saluda Nursing Center.
She was born in Saluda County, SC, on February 18, 1919, daughter of the Mattie M. Shell and was reared in the home of grandparents, the late George and and Susanna Alexander Coleman. She was a member of Wateree AME Church and the WHAS #40. She was a retired domestic worker. She loved to fish.
In addition to parents and grandparents and husbands, James Clark and Virgil W. Shealy and daughter, Willie Ray Chappells, she was also preceded in death by siblings, Gary Coleman, Eugene Coleman, Otis Lee Coleman, Allen G. Coleman, Willie Jr. Speaks, Willie Frances Coleman and Willie Mae Abney.
She was the last survivor of her immediate family.
She leaves to cherish and honor her memory; three daughters, Mattie (Carl) Hill and Mamie L. Tolen both of Saluda, SC and Sudie (Curtis) Glasgow of Prospersity, SC; ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, seventeen great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended family and sorrowing friends.
A Celebration of her Life will be 1 p.m. Saturday, 2/24/18 at Wateree AME Church conducted by Bishop Gregory Cannon, assisting will be the pastor Reverend Casandra S. Conway. Burial will follow in the Little Angel's Memorial Park, Saluda, SC. The body will be placed in the church at 12 Noon.
Viewing will be Friday 2/23/18 at the funeral home 1-8 p.m.
The family is at the home of her daughter, Mattie and Carl Hill, 205 Denny Highway, Saluda, SC.
