Edgefield, SC: Terry Bernard Holmes, 53, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024 in Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Greenwood, SC, September 6, 1970, son of the late Tobie "TB"  and Jeannette Werts Holmes.  He received his education in the public schools of Edgefield County, SC where he attended Strom Thurmond High School. Early in life he joined Antioch Baptist Church.  He was employed by Timberland Lumber Company.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by siblings, William Holmes, Robert Holmes, Rufus Williams, Alberta Partlow, and Bessie Harrison.

He leaves to cherish and honor his memory; daughter, Brionna Holmes and his granddaughter, Jorrah J. Jennings of Greenwood, SC; special friend, Sherletha Walker of Johnston, SC;  brothers, Anthony Holmes of Edgefield, SC, Eugene Williams of McCormick, SC, and Otis Williams Augusta, GA; sisters, Angela H. Donato (Troy) of Slidell, LA, Lillie Belcher (Robert), Willie Rappley and Dorothy Holmes all of Greenwood, SC, Barbara Hall of Columbia, SC, and Janice Harris (Jerry) of Augusta, SC; uncles and aunts; and a host of others close relatives and sorrowing friends who will miss him dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Antioch Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.  The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m.

Family Viewing will be 1-2 p.m. Friday 2/2/24 and Public Viewing will be 2-6 p.m. Friday.

The family is at 22 Dorn Road, Edgefield, SC.
