Timothy (Cat) Dansby, Jr.

Washington, DC:  Timothy (Cat) Dansby, 85, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at a local hospital.

He was born in Edgefield, SC, son of the late Timothy and Cleo Adams Dansby. He was a former member of the Springfield Baptist Church, Edgegield, SC and now a member of Southern Baptist Church, Washington, DC. He was a retired truckdriver for WSSC.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his wife, Barbara M. Dansby of Washington, DC; son, Rick Dansby, Washington, DC; daughter, Juanita (William) Walker of Suitland, MD; two brothers, William Dansby of Washington, DC and Chris Dansby, Capitol Heights, MD; sisters, Helen Yeldell, Greenwood, SC; Gladys Wilson of Ellicott, City, MD, Ola Mae Dansby and Addie Ruth Dansby White both of Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; seven step- siblings, Annie Gaines, Lou Berta McInrye, Will Morgan, Joe A. Morgan Leroy Morgan and Mary Sue Morgan; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Homegoing celebration will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Springfield Baptist Church, Edgefield, SC; conducted by Reverend Ernest Gordon. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m.

Public viewing will be 1-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
