Tonya Felicia Abney

Tonya Felicia Abney departed this life Tuesday, April 23, 2024, in Aiken Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Saluda, SC, on September 17, 1974, daughter of the late Sandra Brunson and the late Wendell Williams.  She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Jeff Brunson.

At an early age, she joined New Salem CME Church. She received her education in the public schools of Saluda County, South Carolina where she graduated from Saluda High School in 1992 and attended USC Aiken. Tonya's last employment was with Economy Furniture, Batesburg, SC. 

Tonya was loving and kind and she loved herself some Pepsi Cola and Coke Cola soft drinks. She truly will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by; three dedicated sons, Chris Herrin, Cedric Herrin and Cortez Herrin all of Saluda, SC; daughter, Briana Solum of Lexington, SC; two grandchildren, Anyia Nash-Herrin and Skyler Herrin; brothers, Julian Gantt Damien Gantt and Wendell Gantt all of Saluda, SC; sisters, Tracee Abney of Saluda, SC, Chemikia (Antonio) Johnson of Trenton, SC and Tinika (Rogderick) Nixon of Evans, GA; step brothers, Toriona (Tara) Payne, North Augusta, SC, Kelly (Roxanne) Brunson of Hephzibah, GA; step-sister, Monica (Mario) Sigler of Aiken, SC; special aunt, Ethel M. Stevens of Saluda, SC and a special uncle, Ronnie Abney of Batesburg, SC; uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.

The family is at the home of her sister Tracy Abney, 124 Twisted Hill court, Saluda, SC.
