Tycee O. Weaver
Saluda, SC: Tycee Ontenette Weaver was born on July 19, 1991 in Greenwood, South Carolina, to Florence D. Weaver and Darryl Phillips. She was the first of two children, Antley Malike Weaver whom is her brother of Saluda, SC. They had and inseparable bond. Tycee departed this life on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Self Regional Hospital, Greenwood, SC.
Tycee Weaver attended the public schools of Saluda County and graduated from Saluda High School in 2009. She continued her education and enrolled at Lander University College and graduated in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in Science and Mathematics. At an early age, she joined the St. Paul Baptist Missionary Baptist Church in Saluda, SC where she sung on the choir and Praise Dance. She was also a member of WHAS #31 and Mine Creek Burial Aide Society.
Tycee Weaver and Bryan Black have one child, Omari D. Black. Tycee was a faithful mother and a hard worker who provided for her son. She was the manager at Hibbett Sports in Simpsonville, SC and Greenwood, SC. She tried her best to make every customer that came in the store leave with something. She was a former manager of Rosie Pizza and Sub Restaurant in Saluda, SC. She was also an Assistant clerk for the Saluda and Ward Voting precinct. Tycee was the proud owner of Tycee's Tasty Treats. She baked many cakes and cupcakes for surrounding areas. Red Velvet, Strawberry Delight, Key Lime, Honey Bun just to name a few. He love was in her sweets.
Tycee Weaver participated in many activities throughout her thirty-one (31) years. She was a cheerleader for Saluda High School. She praise dance with the Community (Warrior's for Christ Praise Dance Team) Praise Dancers and she was also Math Tutor.
Along with her maternal grandmother, Alberta Weaver and her paternal grandfather, John Pressley Phillips preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish and honor her precious memories; devoted mother, Florence D. Weaver of Saluda, SC, father, Darryl Phillips of Ridge Spring, SC; one son, Omari D. Black of Saluda, SC, brother, Malike Weaver, Saluda, SC; four special cousins, Shakeyki O, Glover, Tornelius T. Glover, Ja'Liyah Smiley all of Saluda, SC and Tor'Shanna Glover, Ridge Spring, SC; maternal grandfather, Antley Weaver, Jr., Saluda, SC, paternal grandmother, Virginia W. Phillips of Saluda, SC; aunts, Delfuni Glover (Aaron) Cyteria Gantt (Earl), and Kim Brooks (Mitchell) all of Saluda, SC; uncles, Stanley Phillips and Reginald (Kimberly) Phillips both of Saluda, SC and Christopher Phillips of Batesburg, SC; step great grandmother, Lola Simmons, Saluda, SC; great aunts, Frankie Williams (Arthur), Batesburg, SC, Darline Williams (Heyward), Aiken, SC Lesa Lindsay, Irmo, SC, LaShawn (Dexter) Tucker, Charlotte, NC, Treniece (Ansel) Scurry, Greenwood, SC, Regina Simmons, Greenville, SC, Connie Crawford, Raleigh, NC, Rudell Burch, Charleston, SC, Elease Webb and Mahalia Jones, Saluda, SC; Elsie Cook, North Augusta, SC, Cathy McManus, Martinez, GA, Esther Bush, Columbia, SC, LaShondra Ross, Detroit, MI, Willie E. A Celebration of her Life will be 1 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2023 at Mt. Enon Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 12 p.m. The minister participating in the serve Pastor Donnie Byrd will be presiding and Elder Lee H. Ouzts - eulogist and others assisting.
Family viewing will be 12 -1 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2023 and public viewing will be 1-6 p.m.at the funeral home.
