VIRGINIA ANN MYERS WHARTON

“GINGER “

Virginia “Ginger” passed away peacefully on 10/16/2023. She was raised in Saluda county and was educated in the Saluda County School Systems. She worked for 30 plus years as a beloved Certified Nursing Assistant, most of this time was at the Edgefield County Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her mother Annie Mae Byrd Myers, father Ossie Myers, sister Jacqueline Myers, and grandson Davon Adams.

Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Tameka Wharton, Ashunda Wharton, Nakendra Wharton (Randale), one son Benjamin Wharton, Jr. (April), and a granddaughter, Breanna Kinard raised in the home. She shared a close bond with her siblings including-sisters, Willie Jennings, Janet Butler (Melvin), Aretha Myers and also one brother, Ossie Myers (Lizzie).

She has one living aunt Ethel Byrd, one living uncle, Buck Myers, nine grandchildren, seven great-grands, two more great grand sons closely reared– Jasiah and Kameron Kinard. She leaves a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, 10/18/2023 at Freedom Temple Church of God, 253 Rainsford Circle, Trenton, SC, where the pastor is Reverend Hodges Bush.

THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC VIEWING.
