Johnston, SC: William A. Henley, 74 of 320 Brady Street, the husband of Debbie Cunningham Henley departed this life on Sunday August, 25, 2024 in Aiken Regional Medical Center.
He was born October 17, 1949, son of the late Jetto and Rebecca Simpkins Henley. He was a member of Lockhart Baptist and also attended Mine Creek Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Riverside High School Class of 1968. After graduation he was drafted in the US Army serving his country during the Vietnam War. He was a certified Electrician where he worked in the Commercial Industry and some Residential. The was a gifted musician he played several instruments and played in the band called "The Rhythm Five" during it's time. Boy Sam or Bob that he was affectionately called was jovial and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition of his parents, he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Tasha Henley and brother, Warren Butler, Sr.
He leaves to cherish and honor his memory and legacy; his wife Debbie C. Henley of the home; sons, William A. Henley, Jr. and Warren Kinard both of Columbia, SC; daughter Erica Kinard of Columbia, SC; step-sons, Paris Henley of Charlotte, NC, Korickio Cunningham of Lancaster, SC and Jamar (Shannon) Reed of Pageland, SC; step-daughter, Marqueshia Reed of Johnston ,SC; twenty-seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; brother, Timothy (Tomesshia) Henley of Batesburg, SC; sisters, Annie B. (Charlie) Davis of Saluda, SC and Catherine H. Lanier of Troy, SC; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law; nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
