Willie James Culbreath
Ward, SC: On Monday, November 8, 2021, Willie James Culbreath, went home into the loving arms of our Lord. He was born to the late Walter Culbreath Sr. and Etta Mae Coleman Culbreath in Ward, South Carolina on February 16, 1944.
An early age, he joined the Pleasant Hill Baptist church where he served as a dedicated trustee until his death.
He graduated from Ridge Hill High School in Ridge Spring, South Carolina in 1962. He worked for the Graniteville Company, Avondale Mills, and Graniteville Specialty Fabrics for over 51 years and was recognized for his dedication to the job in the Augusta Chronicle newspaper.
He is preceded in death by four brothers and six sisters.
He is survived by a loving spouse Rachel Annette Culbreath of Ward, South Carolina; four sisters, Helen Jerry of Ridge Spring, SC , Mary A. (Robert) Sewell, Aurora, CO, Cora L. Dozier, Winter Garden, FL, Mattie M. Ross, Aiken, SC; three sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
He was known for his generosity throughout the community, and he will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of His Life will be 12 Noon, Monday 11/15/21 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Yard with burial in the church cemetery.
There will be no viewing.
The family is at the home 456 Spann Road, Ward, SC.
