Mr. Johnnie Williams, Jr. 

Saluda, SC; Mr. Johnnie Williams, Jr., 80, of 244 Dozier Road, the husband of Sallie Mae Holloway Williams, passed away, Tuesday July 18, 2017, at Lexington Medical Center. 

He was born in Saluda, SC, May 5, 1937, son of the late Johnnie Coleman and the late Ora Mae Williams and he was the only child.  

He was a faithful member of the Rock Hill Baptist Church where he sang in the Rock Hill Male Chorus.

Early in life, Johnnie migrated to Washington, DC, area where he worked at Ft. Meade Army Base as a cook. Moving back to Saluda, in 1970, he gained employment as a machine operator at Greenwood Mills, the Adam Plant where he worked until he retired. Johnnie hobbies were hunting and gardening.

He and Sallie Mae Holloway Williams was married for 58 years and this union was blessed with five children, one son, Kelvin Williams preceded him in death.

Leaving to cherish and honor his memory; his devoted wife, Sallie Mae Holloway Williams of the home; children, Jennette (Stevie) Bosket of Allentown, PA, Lawrence Williams of Lexington, SC, Lessile (Dwan) Geiger, Lebanon, Ohio and Teresa Williams of the home; five grandchildren, Takka Davis, Chakka Davis, LaShonya Bosket, Tilmelia Bosket and Michael Williams; five great grandchildren; seven sisters-in-law, Adran Holloway, Willette (Johnny) McCloud, Frankie (Reverend Aaron) Walker, Doris (McField) Young, Shirneata (Dennis) Todd, Barbara Hare and Gracie Foggie; three brothers-in-law, Abraham Holloway, Leroy (Evangelist Louise) Holloway and Codell Holloway; special cousin, Lois Gibson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.

Celebration will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Rock Hill Baptist Church conducted by the pastor, Reverend Herbert Martin. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Public viewing will be Saturday 1:30-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family is at the home.
